Seven scores big Friday win with first AFL Final

TV ratings: Seven

The first AFL final was a very one-sided affair with Geelong unable to kick goals. Port Adelaide was far too strong and now Geelong gets a second chance next weekend. The audience turned out big time with 841,000 in metro markets – 476,000 in Melbourne, 99,000 in Perth and 177,000 in Adelaide.

The numbers were subsequently down a little for Better Homes and Gardens with 347,000.

Nine

A Current Affair had a good Friday outing with 633,000 with 259,000 of them in Melbourne.

The NRL saw Souths way too good for the Roosters with 343,000 tuning in – 221,000 in Sydney and 93,000 in Brisbane.

The biggest Friday audience was watching 10 News First at 5pm – 344,000.

The Project 7pm was not too far behind with 337,000.

The Living Room just failed to crack 300,000 to 294,000.

Gardening Australia was down a little on a footy final Friday with 425,000 after two weeks close to half a million.

A repeat of Midsomer Murders then did 356,000.

SBS

Secrets of Egypt’s Valley of the Kings again had the best crowd non-news numbers with 151,000, up from 139,000 week-on-week.
