The Fox's Fifi, Fev & Nick play 22 consecutive $10,000 Alphabucks games to find a winner for 'WINSDAY'
The team remained on air until 10 am - an hour past their normal finish time
On Melbourne's 101.9 The Fox, the Fifi, Fev & Nick breakfast team were almost staring down another marathon brekky show as they committed to staying on-air until they found a winner of their favourite listener game, Alphabucks.
On Wednesday 14 June, the team played their Alphabucks game a total of 22 times in a row, remaining on air until 10 am - an hour past their typical knock-off time. The eventual lucky winner was mum Melinda from Lang Lang, who correctly answered the ten questions, starting with the letter 'M,' in 30 seconds and won $10,000.
With only seconds to spare winner Melinda, a childcare worker with Imagine Childcare & Kindergarten Narre Warren North, was victorious and celebrated as her friend and workmate Jess cheered her on.
Melinda dropped into the studio to meet the team and accept her winner's cheque. When asked what she would do with the money Melinda said: "Probably go on a holiday."
As well as working in childcare, Melinda has a 15-month-old Jaxon and is expecting another baby boy in September.
A fortnight ago, the team stayed on-air for 27 hours straight to achieve the Guinness World Record for 'Longest Marathon For A Radio Music Show DJ (Team).
On June 2, just after 9 am an official Guinness World Record adjudicator, who was on site, approved their attempt, and the breakfast hosts Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody, and their anchor Josiah Shala were officially named the holders of the title and awarded a plaque.

The team was under very strict rules from on-air talking, music, ads and content, but their efforts were rewarded after completing the record just after 9am.
Inside the studio, the breakfast team burst into cheers and high-fives as their colleagues in the control room erupted in applause for their efforts.
Among some of the efforts the Box, Fevola and Cody, and Shala used to stay up included exercise equipment such as a stationary bike, pilates reformer and dance parties during music breaks.
