The Media Store has appointed Brady Lyon as investment director, a new senior role focused on buying strategy, revenue management and partner growth.

Lyon joins as the independent agency continues to expand senior capability across planning and investment.

In the newly created position, Lyon will oversee buying footprint development and revenue management, while also contributing to pitching, partner relationships and broader market thought leadership.

He joins from the GoTransit Media Group, where he served as agency sales director and worked on major out-of-home campaigns.

Before that, Lyon spent almost eight years at EssenceMediacom across communications and trading roles, later becoming one of the agency’s investment directors in Melbourne in 2022.

At EssenceMediacom, he led investment activity across offline channels for clients in FMCG, charity and finance.

Stephen Leeds, chief executive of The Media Store, said the appointment reflects the agency’s continued investment in senior talent.

“As one of Australia’s largest independent media agencies, we have always prided ourselves on delivering media reimagined and effective results for our clients, with our deep expertise across strategy, planning and partnership integration.

“Brady’s appointment is testament to the calibre of media experience we are able to attract, and our commitment as a business to bringing highly skilled, passionate people to our team.

"With nearly a decade of experience in the agency space, Brady has negotiated media investments for clients across a range of verticals, building a reputation for delivering results in a competitive landscape. He intimately understands the media landscape and has a track record for creating meaningful campaigns and partnerships – we are thrilled to welcome him to The Media Store.”

Lyon said the move offers a chance to work more closely across agency growth.

"Having worked with some of the nation’s biggest brands during my career, I’ve become acutely aware of the power of strong relationships between agencies and clients in making campaigns truly memorable.

"As I look to further my experience, The Media Store offers a rich environment for growth – its position in the industry, its well-established history of innovation and its commitment to clients makes it the ideal place for me to take the next step in my career. I’m excited to work with the team and look forward to supporting their 2026 growth plans.”

The appointment follows the agency’s hire of Tanvi Singh as head of strategy and planning last year.

Recent client additions at The Media Store include Splend, alongside existing accounts such as Rugby World Cup Experiences, RMIT University, Hino and ENGIE.
