With the start of the new year, we take a look back at the top 25 media personalities who stood out in the Australian media landscape in 2015.

It has been a stellar year for Ferguson, helming two of television’s most compelling series. In June, Australia was captivated by The Killing Season, a three-part examination of the political machinations that saw Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard unseated by one another in a local Game of Thrones. Ferguson followed it up later in the year with a months-long examination into the horrors of domestic abuse with the eye-opening Hitting Home, which will prove to be agenda setting for some time to come. Ferguson has been appointed as the new host of Four Corners, replacing Kerry O’Brien.
