Warrior Nun falls after strong week

Disney+ original Andor has topped the Australian and New Zealand digital originals for another week, with 27.14 and 23.23 points above the market average.

Season one wrapped up on November 23, making it Disney+’s longest original live-action series. Speaking to Collider about the future of the show, creator Tony Gilroy shared when he thinks Andor will be back on screens.

"If past is predicate, and we do the same thing we did before, it'll be on the same schedule. It will come out two years later," he said.

Topping the overall TV shows for both Australia and New Zealand was The Walking Dead, with 30.89 and 25.06 points. The season 11 finale, titled Rest in Peace, aired on November 20, marking the end of the show after 12 years.

Netflix’s most popular show, Stranger Things, has placed second in Australia and fourth in New Zealand’s digital originals with 22.47 and 12.47 points, respectively.

Netflix original, Warrior Nun fell a few places from last week, placing third in Australia (20.11 points) and fifth in New Zealand (11.81 points) Starring Alba Baptista, Toya Turner, and Thekla Reuten, the second season follows a young woman who wakes up in a morgue with a new artifact in her back and discovers she’s part of an ancient order. 

The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS placed second in New Zealand's digital originals, coming in 14.29 points above the market average. In Australia, the series, which had its season finale on November 10, has dropped to sixth with 17.5 points.

Netflix's The Crown is back on screens with its fifth season. The royal series, which was created by Peter Morgan and has been devoured by viewers since its 2016 series premiere, is set to end after its forthcoming sixth season. The series came fourth in Australia's digital originals with 18.38 points above average and ninth in New Zealand with 10.52.

Season two of The White Lotus has also returned, coming fourth in Australia's overall shows (23.8) and third in New Zealand (19.99).
