TV Demand: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier makes Disney+ the platform to beat
• WandaVision is still enjoying its time in the sun, rating first across all four charts
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the newest Marvel show on Disney+, creeps towards the top spot on its second week on the charts. With the first episode being released last week, episode one ranked as the most watched series premiere ever on Disney+ during its opening weekend. It debuted on the charts at number eight on the top ten Digital Originals in Australia, and making number three on the Digital Originals chart for New Zealand.
This week The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has shot up to second place on three of the four charts, and fourth on Overall New Zealand shows. On the Overall Australian chart, it sits almost exactly six points behind WandaVision, rating 21.9 points above market average compared to WandaVision’s 27.8.
WandaVision is still enjoying its time in the sun, rating first across all four charts.
On the Digital Original charts for both Australia and New Zealand, Disney+ comfortably takes the top three positions thanks to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and the ever-reliable The Mandalorian.
Married At First Sight Australia continues to do well on both sides of the ditch. On the Overall Australian chart, MAFS has risen from ninth to sixth place this week. In New Zealand the show is sitting third on their Overall chart. Despite the higher ranking however, it’s scoring 15.6 points above market average compared with 20.4 points above market average in Australia.
