Dancing With The Stars coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus 1

The new season of Dancing With The Stars will see celebrities, glittery costumes and magical moves make their way back to the dancefloor premiering Sunday, 18 June on Channel Seven and 7plus.

Hosted by Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, the new season will see a brand new batch of celebrities compete for their chosen charity and the Dancing With The Stars mirror ball trophy. 

Triple TV Week Gold Logie award-winner, Daryl Somers, rose to national fame as the host and executive producer of the long-running comedy-variety show Hey Hey It’s Saturday. In a career spanning more than five decades, Daryl hosted light entertainment programs, kids’ shows, game shows, pop music shows and countless specials. In 2004, he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the television and entertainment industries, to charitable organisations and to the community.

A presenter, actress, dancer, interviewer and entertainer, Sonia Kruger also hosts the series The Voice Australia and Big Brother. Her dance talent saw her land the role of Tina Sparkle in the hugely successful 1994 Australian movie, Strictly Ballroom.

After weeks of intensive training, the celebrities will face the scrutiny of the judging panel Craig Revel Horwood, Sharna Burgess, Todd McKenney and Mark Wilson.

The lineup of celebrities includes famous screen and stage actors, AFL players, podcasters, Olympic medallists and even quizmasters. 

The notable names in the lineup include Charlie Albone, Emily Weir, Gavin Wanganeen, Issa Schultz, James Magnussen and more. 

Dancing With The Stars is produced by BBC Studios Australia and New Zealand, from a format created by the BBC and distributed by BBC Studios.

Dancing With The Stars premieres at 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 18 on Channel Seven and 7plus.
