Stefanos Tsitsipas will take on Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open Men's Final, marking the end of the 2023 Australian Open.

The match will be played on Melbourne Park's Rod Laver Arena, starting at 7:30pm AEDT on Nine and 9Now.

Djokovic is trying to win a record-extending 10th title at Melbourne Park and a 22nd grand slam trophy overall to pull even with Rafael Nadal.

This will be Djokovic's 33rd major final, while Tsitsipas is seeking his first major title.

"Couldn't be more ready for this moment," Tsitsipas said after beating Karen Khachanov 7-6, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 in the semi-finals.

Djokovic - who beat Tommy Paul 7-5, 6-1, 6-2 in his semi-final - leads their head-to-head meetings 10-2 and has won the last nine.

Sunday night's winner will bank a cheque worth $2.975 million for their win. The runner-up also receives a hefty amount, with $1.625 million as their reward for making the final.

Djokovic has won the past nine matches between the two, which includes their five-set final at the 2021 French Open, while Tsitsipas won the first two sets at Roland-Garros, before Djokovic fought back to claim his second French Open win.

Last year, The Australian Open men’s final might didn't have the same lofty average as the women’s final (metro average of 2.5m) but a robust 1.6m watched Rafael Nadal make history by winning his 21st Grand Slam title, the most in history. The match had a national audience of 2.1m after 539,000 regional viewers tuned in.
