The Tokyo 2020 Olympics are live on Seven in what is the country’s biggest-ever broadcast and digital event. For the first time on Australian free-to-air television, there are 45 dedicated Olympic channels across Seven and 7plus all live, free and in HD.

With Tokyo in almost the same time zone, the stage is set perfectly for Australians to see every moment of the Games’ 17 days.

Australian highlights today are (in AEST):

• Athletics: Men's 50km Race Walk Final, 6:30am, Rhydian Cowley goes for gold
• Athletics: Women's 20km Race Walk Final, 5:30pm, Katie Hayward, Rebecca Henderson, and Jemima Montag go for gold
• Athletics: Women's Javelin Throw Final, 9:50pm, Mackenzie Little, Kathryn Mitchell, and Kelsey-Lee Barber go for gold
• Athletics: Women's 1500m Final, 10:50pm, Linden Hall and Jessica Hull go for gold
• Beach Volleyball: Women's Gold Medal Match, 12:30pm, Australia goes for gold
