• Final week of TEN's Big Bash League again challenges Seven's Australian Open
• News, current affairs and sport dominate, next best…Cats v Dogs Which Is Best?

Seven has won its second successive night of week three, but the margins were a lot closer than Monday.

Seven's primary channel had a share of 17.9% with TEN close behind on 17.0%. Nine kept in touch with the leaders too with 15.9%, two points behind Seven.

Despite the live sport on offer elsewhere, Nine managed a win in Sydney on 17.3%. That's even without the extra-long edition of Millionaire Hot Seat, which doesn't actually launch until next Monday, despite our breathless reporting of how it performed on Monday.

In Melbourne the tennis crowd assured Seven a big win with a share of 22.4%.

In combined network channel share Seven was #1 with 26.7%, with Nine close behind on 26.2%.

News, current affairs and live sport dominated the program rankings.

Nine's Cats v Dogs: Which Is Best? (which seemed to replace The Big Bang Theory in some guides), along with Hot Seat, were the most-watched entertainment programs.

The summer edition of 7.30 and ABC News both had spots in the top 10.

The best for SBS was another series about European rail travel, this time the second episode of Riding Britain's Railways, which did 221,000 to rank just outside the top 20.
