TV Ratings May 14, 2022: Father Brown victorious against Saturday Night AFL

• Seven takes another weekend win

Total TV Ratings, May 7

ABC’s Father Brown topped the total TV ratings for non-news programs, bringing in 709,000 viewers, lifting 16%.

ABC also claimed the #2 spot with Call The Midwife, reaching a total TV audience of 615,000 and experiencing the highest lift on overnight with 24%.

Seven's AFL Saturday Night Football came in third, reaching an audience of 559,000, rising 1%.

Overnight TV Ratings, May 14

Winning the Saturday network shares is Seven with 33.5%, followed by Nine with 25.8%. Seven also won the primary channel with a 20.8% share, while 7Mate took out the multichannel win with 6.3%.

The Sydney Swans went head to head with Essendon on Seven’s AFL: Saturday Night Football, pulling in an audience of 411,000. 154,000 Melbournians tuned in to watch Sydney bounce back from consecutive losses on their home deck to trump Essendon by 58 points at the SCG, winning 14.21(105) to 6.11(47).

On Nine, Getaway was the network’s most-watched non-news program clocking 292,000 views. Saturday Night NRL Live had 268,000 people watch as the Panthers defeated Storm 32-6.

ABC’s Father Brown was the most-watched entertainment program of the night, bringing in an audience of 422,000, with 147,000 tuning in from Melbourne. Additionally, Call The Midwife pushed ABC up the ratings bringing in an audience of 348,000.

A repeat of Bondi Rescue was the most viewed entertainment program on 10 with 94,000 views.

SBS aired a repeat of the 2022 Eurovision Semi Final 2 which saw 221,000 people watch. It also placed second among the 16-39 demographic.

STV

Fox League has claimed the top three spots on subscription TV. NRL Super Saturday had a viewership of 327,000, while the Storm V Panthers match clocked 310,000. The Titans and Dragons went head to head, reaching 228,000 people as Titans defeated 20-16.

On Fox Footy, St Kilda v Geelong brought in 224,000 viewers as they won 13.12(90) to 11.14(80). Super Saturday clocked 202,000 views.
