It was three days until The Block contestants had to deliver not one, but two kids’ rooms in a busy week in Hampton East. The episode was up 50% for a total audience of 1,091,000.

On Home and Away Mali had to act on Rose’s ultimatum and Irene attempted to broker peace between Roo and Marilyn. up 28%, the episode had 889,000 tune in.

The Amazing Race saw Grant Denyer and his wife Chezzi eliminated from the race after Grant suffered a bad case of heatstroke. 857,000 tuned in, up 49%.

Nine has won Thursday night with a primary share of 22.4% and a network share of 32.4%. 9Gem has topped multichannels with a 4.8% share. 

Nine’s A Current Affair covered journalist Cheng Lei’s return to Australia and the ongoing conflict in Gaza for 543,000, before 595,000 settled in for The Block. The fallout from Brett trying to convince everyone that his front yard was actually his backyard lead to a classic Block blow-up. Australia then took to the field in the ICC Cricket World Cup for their second match, this time against South Africa. 251,000 tuned in as South Africa took the win by 134 runs, leaving the Aussies second last on the World Cup points table.

Seven’s Home and Away saw Alf get the truth from Roo and Marilyn, taking 416,000 to Summer Bay. Back to back episodes of Highway Partol sped the night up for 284,000 and 272,000 respectively, before 195,000 settled in for movie night with Hidden Figures

On 10, The Project (176,000 6:30pm / 269,000 7pm) covered Fat Bear Week as Alaska’s bears prepare to go into hibernation, and interviewed The Living End. It was the end of the road for Peter and Frankie Rowsthorn on The Amazing Race, with everything coming down to a wrong turn in front of 347,000 viewers. Gogglebox rounded out the night for 398,000.

ABC’s 7.30 looked ahead to Saturday’s Voice to Parliament referendum, with 360,000 tuning in. Foreign Correspondent covered the deadliest year for Jews and Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in 15 years, bringing in 329,000 viewers. 236,000 stayed for a repeat of Grand Designs, watching the restoration of a neo-Gothic cemetery keeper's lodge.

The highest rating show on SBS was Great Australian Walks with Julia Zemiro, bringing in 170,000 viewers.
