Total TV Ratings, September 30

Seven's coverage of the AFL grand final game between Collingwood and Brisbane topped Total TV, increasing by 14% to reach a total audience of 3,878,000.

The biggest jump in commercial primetime viewing goes to an encore episode of ABC's The Newsreader, where the Total TV audience grew by 60% to reach 207,000 viewers. 

Overnight TV Ratings, October 7

Nine enjoyed a Saturday night win in both the network and primary channel shares with 29.1% and 19.8%, respectively. 7TWO won the multichannels with 3.6%.

The Seven Network's coverage of the Bathurst 1000 Top 10 Shootout drew in an audience of 435,000. The strong numbers of the network continue into the next program, a repeat episode of Border Security, which 429,000

Nine’s airing of A Current Affair saw the program meet with Australian and British ex-servicemen who are taking part in a class action law suit against the British Government over nuclear bomb tests in Australia between 1952 and 1963. The show saw 484,000 tune in. Getaway saw 268,000 as the team explored Lantau Island in Hong Kong and also take the Kaikoura Coastal Walk in New Zealand. 

On the ABC, Shakespeare and Hathaway was viewed by 375,000 as Frank and Lu were pulled in to the world of motors in search of a valuable muscle car and were taken for a ride by some shifty characters. Vera saw 371,000 as Vera and her team investigated the mystery of a John Doe.

10 News First drew in an audience of 176,000, later the network aired the Australia Cup Final between Sydney FC and the Brisbane Roar to 32,000. Sydney FC won 3 to 1.

Bathurst live coverage dominated on Fox Sports, the Bathurst Top 10 recorded an audience of 205,000 while Practice 6 drew in 128,000 viewers.

The Qatar F1 sprint shootout, also on Fox Sports, was viewed by an audience of 32,000.
