• Seven’s AFL Friday Night Footy Finals reached 1,133,000 in Total TV

Seven’s AFL Friday Night Footy Finals topped total TV, increasing by 1% to reach a total audience of 1,133,000. 

ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as The Control Room lifted 35% for 300,000. 

On Nine, The NRL Finals increased by 18% to deliver a total TV audience of 890,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, September 22

Seven inched out the Friday night primary channel shares with 35.5% and also won the network share section with 45.5%. 7mate won the multichannels with 4.7%.

Seven’s Friday Night AFL saw the first preliminary-final take place with Collingwood beating the Giants by 1 point ending in 58-57. 1,020,000 tuned in, topping the chart. Earlier in the night, The Chase aired to 446,000, while Better Homes and Gardens saw 470,000 as Joh and Pete explored a terrace home that looked small on the outside, but was packed with features.

Nine’s Friday night NRL pulled in an audience of 492,000 as the Panthers showed up the Storm ending with 38-4. With this win, the Panthers book their fourth consecutive Grand Final appearance, with tonight's game deciding whether the Panthers will face the Broncos or the Warriors.

On ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 260,000, as Hannah visited a stunning small garden while Costa explored ferns. 

On 10, 158,000 tuned into The Project and Have You Been Paying Attention? clocked 133,000 viewers. 

The highest-rated non-news program on SBS was South American with Simon Reeve with 88,000.

The Collingwood V GWS match on Fox Footy came in first on the chart with Collingwood just beating GWS 58-57 at The MCG in Melbourne. 312,000 tuned in.

262,000 tuned in to Panthers V Storm in the first Prelimary-Final on Fox League. The match ended with the Panthers winning 38-4 in Sydney.
