TV Ratings July 29, 2023: The Panthers keep the Sharks to zero on Fox League

Total TV Ratings, July 22

ABC’s airing of Vera topped entertainment total TV for the network with 593,000 viewers, growing by 16%. 

The biggest jump in commercial primetime viewing goes to ABC’s Bay of Fires, where the Total TV audience grew by 93% to reach 316,000 viewers. 

Overnight TV Ratings, July 29

Nine enjoyed a Saturday night win in both the network and primary channel shares with 23.7% and 37.7%, respectively. GEM won the multichannels with 6.3%.

Seven’s Saturday Night AFL saw the Swans take a 2-point victory over Essendon as 374,000 tuned in to watch the match. In entertainment, Better Homes and Gardens: Gardening Special reached 188,000 as the team took viewers through the most beautiful gardens the country has to offer. 

Nine’s airing of A Current Affair saw 352,000 tuned in as the program met with a security expert to discuss the Army helicopter search and rescue operation. Earlier in the night, Getaway had 313,000 as the team enjoyed the best of Queensland's Capricorn Coast.

On the ABC, Sister Boniface Mysteries was viewed by 271,000 as Sister Boniface investigated a murder at The Miss United Britain beauty contest.

10 aired The Dog House Australia as the program met with a Kelpie named Schnitzel. The show had 133,000. The network also aired NCIS: Los Angeles to 83,000 viewers. 

SBS aired Tony Robinson's History of Britain to 73,000.

On Fox League, the Sea Eagles beat the Dragons 24-18 in front of 175,000, while the Panthers pummeled the Sharks 28-0 in front of 172,000 at BlueBet Stadium in Penrith.

Fox Footy’s top game was Gold Coast V Brisbane, which saw Gold Coast dominate by 41 points in front of 137,000. Essendon V Sydney clocked 111,000 as Sydney won by 2 points at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. Bulldogs V Giants clocked 85,000 as GWS won by 5 points.
