Venn Talent Australia has added multidisciplinary artist Atong Atem to its roster, strengthening the agency’s focus on representing women of influence across culture, creativity and leadership.

The appointment sees Atong join Venn’s talent stable as the agency continues to scale its footprint in the premium representation space, aligning with creators whose work spans art, media, and public conversation.

An Australian–South Sudanese artist, Atong is widely recognised for a visually rich and conceptually rigorous practice spanning film, photography, painting, writing and textiles.

Her work explores identity, selfhood, and the politics of visibility and has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the National Gallery of Victoria, the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

For Venn, the move underscores a broader strategy to build depth and credibility in its representation offering, pairing creative excellence with long-term career stewardship rather than short-term commercial churn.

“Atong is a rare and powerful creative voice. Her work is bold, nuanced, and profoundly human. We’re proud to welcome Atong to Venn, and we look forward to building partnerships that honour her vision and creative leadership,” said Brigid Grice, Managing Director and Founder of Venn Talent.

Atem’s addition sits alongside a curated group of high-profile women represented by the agency, including Zoë Foster Blake, Anna Meares OAM and Noémie Fox OAM, reflecting Venn’s positioning at the intersection of culture, influence and leadership.

While Venn has not flagged immediate commercial plays tied to the announcement, the signing reinforces the agency’s longer-term growth ambitions as brands and platforms increasingly look to collaborate with creators whose influence extends beyond traditional categories.

The agency said it would continue to selectively expand its roster, prioritising alignment, creative integrity and sustained impact as it builds out the next phase of its talent strategy.
