Vinyl Group has leapfrogged much of Australia’s tech sector, landing second place in Deloitte’s 2025 Tech Fast 50 and marking a standout year for the music-media-tech hybrid.

Deloitte’s benchmark program, which measures three-year revenue growth, put this year’s cohort at an average 739 percent; Vinyl Group cleared that bar with 2,374 percent growth, cementing its position as one of the country’s sharpest-rising innovators.

The scale of the result reflects Vinyl Group’s integrated mix of technology, platforms and cultural brands - from Vampr and Vinyl.com to Serenade and Vinyl Media - a portfolio that spans fan services, creator tools, and mastheads including Rolling Stone Australia, Mediaweek, Variety Australia, The Music Network, Refinery29 Australia and Concrete Playground.

Deloitte’s recognition places the company in the same class as alumni such as Afterpay, Atlassian, Menulog, ModiBodi, EVSE, and JSHealth.

Chief executive Josh Simons said the ranking strengthens the company’s long-term mission to fuse culture and commerce in a creator-centred way.

“Growth only matters when it creates real value for the people you serve. This result shows that investing in creators, investing in cultural brands, and investing in technology that empowers communities is not only good for the industry, it is good business. We are building a modern music and media company with global ambition and deep local roots, and we’re only just getting started.”

Strategic expansion drives momentum

The award follows a 12-month run of acquisitions, platform upgrades, consolidation around Vinyl Media, and expanding commercial operations globally.

For a company that has spent the past few years stitching together an ecosystem across music technology, content, and culture, the momentum signals a more assertive push into international markets - backed by fresh validation from one of Australia’s most competitive growth indexes.

Vinyl Group acknowledged the broader strength of this year’s field, congratulating all 2025 Deloitte Tech Fast 50 winners.
