WPP has appointed Anne-Isabelle Choueiri as chief transformation officer, a newly created role designed to support the company’s Elevate28 growth strategy.

Choueiri will be responsible for designing and embedding the operating model behind Elevate28, WPP’s three-year plan unveiled in February 2026. The role will focus on improving how the business works across operations, technology and culture.

New role tied to Elevate28 strategy

According to WPP, Choueiri will lead organisational transformation across the business, working with product and enterprise technology teams to use AI, data and technology to build new capabilities and improve efficiency.

She will also work with WPP’s people team to support cultural change, focusing on agility, performance, and new ways of working across the company.

Cindy Rose, CEO of WPP, said Choueiri’s appointment is central to delivering on the company’s strategy.

“Delivering on our Elevate28 strategy requires us to fundamentally transform how we operate and how we show up for clients,” Rose said.

“Anne-Isabelle has a proven track record of leading this kind of evolution at scale across operations, technology and culture in innovative ways. She is exactly the leader we need to drive bold, lasting change at WPP, and I'm delighted to welcome her to the team as we work together to unlock our next chapter of growth.”

Joins from Estée Lauder Companies

Choueiri joins WPP from The Estée Lauder Companies, where she led enterprise-wide strategic projects. Her remit included helping shape the company’s “One ELC” operating model and transforming its enterprise marketing, data and analytics capabilities.

She also led the redesign of enterprise technology teams and served on the company’s AI taskforce, where she worked on AI strategy, implementation and adoption across the business.

Before that, Choueiri held leadership roles at Accenture, Masaï and Kearney, and has also worked across data and digital marketing agencies.

Choueiri said she was joining WPP at a significant moment for the business.

“WPP has set out an ambitious and exciting vision for the future, and I'm honoured to join at such a pivotal moment,” she said.

“I look forward to working with Cindy and her team to transform how we operate and deliver for our clients – ensuring we continue to build integrated solutions that drive real impact. Lasting transformation requires the right culture and operational mindset, and I'm excited to help build an environment where innovation thrives, and our people are empowered to embrace change.”

Choueiri will be based in New York and will sit on WPP’s executive committee.
