Y Careers has partnered with integrated communications agency alt/shift/ to shift the dial on youth employment in education and care sectors.

The not-for-profit social enterprise, committed to empowering young Australians into meaningful careers, aims to create 15,000 jobs for young Australians.

On its website Y Career states that it "invests in young talent, providing targeted support, mentoring, and pathways that enable young people to thrive in purpose-led careers while meeting employers' immediate needs by delivering a sustainable workforce for the future".

“In a fast-changing world, investing in youth is the most strategic move a business can make. Upon meeting with alt/shift/, we knew they understood that Y Careers’ isn’t like traditional recruitment models which are no longer fit for purpose," Fiona HawesY Careers Executive Manager, Marketing and Communications, said.

"alt/shift/ showed us how through strategic integrated storytelling backed by behavioural science, our communications efforts can drive meaningful results that will strengthen the future of work for young Australians and future-proof the education and care sectors more broadly."

"We’re excited that Y Careers has chosen to partner with alt/shift/,” added Sam Vassos, Managing Director of alt/shift/. "It couldn’t be a better match. Like us, Y Careers is committed to doing things differently. They’re changing the narrative on how young people are perceived in the workplace, while reinventing the employment exchange for the better."

Y Careers is the latest addition to alt/shift/'s expanding recruitment pathway portfolio, following previous collaborations with Dylan Alcott’s The Field and the Victorian Department of Education.
