Nature has announced it has achieved certification as a B Corporation, making it the first Australian insights company to join the ranks of the global community of companies with social responsibility as a centre of their business.

Partner at Nature and the Managing Director in Melbourne Justin Connally said of the certification: “We are beyond proud to receive a B Corp certification, and even more to be the first insights firm in Australia and New Zealand to do so. It really is a testament to each and every one of our people who made it possible and allows us to show the industry the values that really matter.”

Businesses that achieve B Corporation status are required to meet the highest verifiable standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability. With a required score of 80 to pass the B Impact Assessment and achieve certification, Nature scored 92.

Nature’s commitment to its people, community giving and sustainable practices were key justifications for the certification.

Founder and Managing Partner of Nature, Chris Crook, responded to news of the certification: “This achievement is a major milestone for Nature. As a business, we hold true to our values, yet we are always evolving. From our updated flexibility policies to our community giving efforts, or even our bespoke learning and development platform – it’s all a part of our ongoing commitment to our people and our purpose. This is really the start of the next era for us.”

With offices in Melbourne and Sydney, Nature has a 16-year tenure in the strategic insights consultancy sector. Boasting The Research Society’s Research Effectiveness Award in 2021, Nature is a leader in the strategic consultancy space in Australia.
