It’s easy to jam-pack a cover with as much content as possible, but knowing when to put your money behind just one story when it breaks takes confidence.

Woman’s Day achieved a dramatic, newsy, visually arresting cover to mark the end of Hollywood’s most celebrated marriage.

Wrestling with long production times on a story that was rapidly developing, we offered a cover with several enticing layers to the story.

The cover encapsulated the mood of the readership with just one word, “unforgivable”, referring to Brad Pitt’s extraordinary midair meltdown and alleged assault of one of his children.
