It’s hard to go past Venice (May 2016). It is one of the most-visited destinations in the world but one that can be disappointing. (Too many tourists! Too many tourist restaurants!) The story focuses on where Venetians live and real life plays out. I think our cover, featuring a gondolier who is not gussied up but is a working boatman, captures that beautifully.

The other cover that stands out is Washington (July 2016). Before the carnage of the presidential elections, we took our readers to where the power set hangs out. It’s a simple but bold cover that my eye is always drawn to.
