In one of the longest negotiations ever in the media, Frangopoulos finally saw the sale of Sky News and Sky News Business to News Corp after Seven, Nine and Sky UK finally agreed on terms. Part of the deal sees the former owners supply content while News Corp can now offer advertisers a TV cross-sell. Sky News highlights this year included a Walkley for its election coverage, the arrival of Andrew Bolt in a daily one-hour program and the addition of breakfast TV host to Paul Murray’s list of skills.
