Janice Petersen, Presenter, SBS

In 2018, SBS news presenter Janice Petersen will mark a decade with the public broadcaster. She first worked in TV when she secured a freelance position at SBS after graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2000.

Petersen then worked for several years for the ABC where she did a cadetship and then worked for the broadcaster in Adelaide and Newcastle. She has been hosting the weekday 6:30pm World News bulletin alongside Anton Enus since 2008. Petersen has quickly risen to become the face of news at SBS. The broadcaster recently revamped its news offering on mobile and upgraded the news set.
