Melbourne Cup Winner 2022

Flemington race course will be home to the 163rd Melbourne Cup horse race on Tuesday, November 7 at 3:00 pm AEDT on Channel 10, 10 Play and Kayo.

A radio broadcast will also take place on ABC Local and the race will be televised on the Racing.com digital channel.

While commercial radio broadcasts will vary by state, there will be coverage on a number of networks including RSN, SEN and Nine Radio.

Network 10’s stable of racing experts will include form guru David Gately, racing presenter Brittany Taylor, 10 News First reporter Caty Price and former jockey James Winks.

Covering all things fashion, colour and entertainment around the Flemington Racecourse is Rob Mills who will be joined by The Project’s Georgie Tunny, 10 Sport’s Tara Rushton and Archie Thompson across the four days on and off the track.

With a prize pool of $8 million, the Melbourne Cup is the richest handicap race in the world, and bookmakers have tipped Vauban, a French horse trained in Ireland to win it all. While it is rare for the favourite to actually win, other horses to keep an eye out for are last year's winner, Gold Trip and Without a Fight.
