The 2016 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship draws to a close this weekend on the streets of Sydney Olympic Park with the Coates Hire Sydney 500. Race coverage is available on Fox Sports and on FTA with Network Ten.

Championship contenders Shane van Gisbergen and Jamie Whincup are the drivers to beat, having won the last eight races around the 3.4 kilometre circuit between them.

Van Gisbergen is aiming for his first-ever Supercars Championship and currently holds a 191 point lead over teammate Whincup, who is aiming for a history-making seventh title.

TEN Sport’s coverage will be anchored by Matt White with expert commentators Mark Larkham and Rick Kelly, TEN Sport’s Mark Howard and Kate Peck from 12.00pm AEDT on Saturday and Sunday for all the race action.
