Holding at #1 for a 13th week is Ed Sheeran and “Shape Of You”. Sheeran nearly pushed himself from top spot as his “Galway Girl” climbed from #9 to #2 this week, its fifth on the chart, to a new peak. “Shape Of You” has now equalled the record previously set by Coolio‘s “Gangsta’s Paradise” in 1995 for the longest number of weeks at #1.
New to the top 10 this week is Kendrick Lamar with “Humble” landing at #6. It is not only his first time in the singles top 10, but his first time in the top 30.
Four other singles spent their first week on the chart in the top 50:
#24 Calvin Harris with “Heatstroke”
#36 The Chainsmokers with “The One”
#41 Bliss N Eno with “Moments”
#49 Cheat Codes with “No Promises”
After bubbling away outside the top 50 for five weeks, Jason Derulo makes it into the 50 at #34 with “Swalla” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.
Albums
Topping the album chart for a fifth consecutive week is “Divide” from Ed Sheeran.
Two newcomers managed to find a way into the top 10, which remains dominated with seven releases from Sheeran, Adele and movie soundtracks.
