Daily Telegraph continues march towards one million readers daily

The industry data reveals the newspaper grew by 0.8% in the past year to 990,000 readers

The Daily Telegraph continues to march towards one million readers each day with the latest official figures showing another jump in weekday readership over the past 12 months, reports the news brand.

The industry data reveals The Daily Telegraph grew by 0.8% in the past year to 990,000 readers of the physical newspaper each day – the only major metropolitan newspaper to lift readership in the 12 months to November 2016.

Dailytelegraph.com.au’s unique audience for November was 1.925m, down slightly from October’s 2.011m. The Daily Telegraph, a subscription website, also has one of Australia’s most popular news Facebook pages with more than 1.1 million likes.

News Corp Australia also retained its position as the largest digital content publisher in Australia with a total digital audience of more than 11.6 million​ unique audience, including REA (Nielsen DRM, November 2016). Sister website – the free news.com.au – retained its number-one position with a unique audience of 5.351m.
