Medium Rare appointments

Medium Rare has announced two senior appointments to its team.

Lisa Green joins as editor-in-chief of Bunnings magazine, and Genevra Leek as content director at Qantas & Travel Insider.

Green has spent more than two decades at the helm of magazines, including The Australian Women’s Weekly and Australian House & Garden.

After 13 years as the editor-in-chief of Australian House & Garden, she moved into the role of editor-in-chief of Bauer’s Homes magazine division. Green will report to Julie Lee, head of content for Food & Homes.

Leek brings more than 20 years of editorial experience, having served as fashion news editor at both InStyle and Vogue Australia, as well as contributing fashion editor at UK-based Conde Nast title Glamour.

Leek also was at the helm of relaunching ELLE magazine before serving as its editor-in-chief. She will report to Kirsten Galliott, head of content for Travel & Luxury.

Nick Smith, MD at Medium Rare Content Agency, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lisa and Genevra to the Medium Rare team.

"Both bring a wealth of editorial experience and gravitas to our agency and will be integral to our growth in 2023 and beyond."

Green began at the agency on January 9, with Leek to commence on January 23; both join Medium Rare’s growing Sydney office, which now numbers more than 200 staff.

This comes after Medium Rare took home seven trophies at the International Content Marketing Awards in the UK last year.

Among the agency’s wins was the Grand Prix award for Large Agency of the Year.

Hosted by the Content Marketing Association, the 2022 awards saw a record number of entries submitted from agencies around the globe. The awards were judged by 130 eminent content marketing experts, who selected winners from 32 categories.

The wins continued a hot streak for the content agency, which recently picked up the Agency of the Year award at the Real Media Awards.
