Nova Entertainment’s third smooth Festival of Chocolate secured record crowds, with an estimated 100,000+ people attending the event and 90 exhibitors, on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September in The Rocks, the biggest crowd in the area since Vivid earlier this year.

Joining returning partner Callebaut were Seven’s Zumbo’s Just Desserts, Lindt, Australian Gourmet Traveller and InterContinental Sydney on board for the first time.

Over 8,000+ photos were posted to Instagram using the official #smoothchocfest hash tag demonstrating the festival’s popularity.

The Callebaut Test Kitchen, hosted by smoothfm’s Cameron Daddo and Ty Frost, returned for a third year with huge crowds watching demonstrations by some of the best pastry and dessert chefs including Jean Michel Raynaud from La Renaissance Patisserie, Christopher Thé from Black Star Pastry, Shangri-La Hotel Sydney’s Anna Polyviou, Gigi Falanga and Ali King from Zumbo’s Just Desserts and Gourmet Traveller food editor Emma Knowles.
