Val Morgan Outdoor (VMO) has secured the exclusive outdoor advertising tender for Brisbane’s iconic Valley Metro.

The vibrant rejuvenation area, in the Fortitude Valley, is home to one of Brisbane’s busiest train stations, Valley Metro, which has undergone a major $500 million redevelopment.

Valley Metro has transformed into an upmarket transport and lifestyle complex, comprising a 30-story residential tower, 24 story office tower as well a gym and retail facilities.

Anthony Deeble, chief commercial officer of The Hoyts Group and VMO, said: "We're absolutely delighted to now have one of the most prominent and busiest Brisbane hotspots under our leading outdoor portfolio.

"Securing Valley Metro is a major win for VMO as we look to continue expanding our next-generation network even further within the Brisbane vicinity, and into other key commuter locations nationally."

Later this year, advertisers can take advantage of 10 next-gen, attention capturing screens situated throughout the retail and dining precinct.

As part of this exclusive screen arrangement, one of VMO’s impactful Large Format Platinum double-sided LED digital banners measuring over 3 metres in height will be suspended from the ceiling above the food court.

Paul Butler, managing director of VMO, added: "We're thrilled to have this unique and iconic location as part of our world-class outdoor network and to offer advertisers the unparalleled opportunity to have a presence across this site.

"With over 24,000 commuters passing through daily, Valley Metro is an ideal centre for brands to connect with CBD commuters as well as other valuable audiences who frequent Brisbane’s famous entertainment precinct," he added.

The VMO Shop network is on track to reach 500 locations nationwide and increase its unique fortnightly audience to 14 million by the end of 2022.

This comes after VMO secured the rights outdoor media advertising contract for Sydney’s Rhodes Central in February.

Advertisers will have access to nine of VMO’s next-gen screens within multiple high traffic locations including Bamboo Lane, the new dining precinct inspired by the streets of Singapore to Shanghai, which houses one of VMO’s large format screens sitting at over 3 metres in width.
