Twitter expands Australian team

Twitter Australia recruits Samsung's Jenny Goodridge, Nine's Jonathan Harley, Gizmodo's Luke Hopewell

Twitter Australia has appointed Jonathan Harley (@jharleyaus) as director of media partnerships for Australia, Luke Hopewell (@lukehopewell) as moments Lead and Jenny Goodridge (@JennyGoodridge) as head of business development and platform partnerships for Australia and New Zealand.

Harley brings to Twitter extensive experience in news and current affairs. He joins Twitter from the Nine Network Australia where he was supervising producer at 60 Minutes for almost four years where his role included overseeing the establishment of 60 Minutes’ digital and social media presence. Harley has also previously held senior roles at the ABC and Shine Australia.

Hopewell joins Twitter from Gizmodo Australia, where he was editor for over three years. He has also worked with Business Insider and CBS Interactive.

Goodridge joins Twitter from Samsung where she led product and consumer marketing teams in the mobile division and the cross business content and services team.

Karen Stocks, Twitter Australia managing director, said, “We’re delighted to be add such experienced and senior leaders as Jenny, Jonathan and Luke to our growing team to further demonstrate our commitment to Australia. APAC is Twitter’s fastest growing region and Australia is a big part of this growth, and we’ll have even more exciting new appointments to announce very soon.”
