Emma Duxbury returns to breakfast radio as newsreader for Big Sports Breakfast bulletins
Newsreader Emma Duxbury has joined Terry Kennedy and Michael Slater on the Big Sports Breakfast from today, bringing her sporting knowledge and a female voice to the show.
Big Sports Breakfast is Sydney’s only all-sports breakfast radio show, and is simulcast on Sky Racing 1 (FOXTEL, channel 519).
Duxbury joins the boys from the Penrith Panthers where she was the media manager for the last two years. Prior to the Panthers Duxbury was with Southern Cross Austereo for seven years which included two years presenting breakfast news and sport for the Kyle and Jackie O Show on 2Day FM.
Sky Sports Radio has outsourced its news service since 2006. General manager – channels Gerard Patane said although Macquarie Radio has provided the station with a great news service over the last nine years he is pleased to bring Duxbury on board to cater to the sports and racing loving Sky Sports Radio audience.
“Emma’s appointment will allow us to better tailor our radio news service for our racing and wagering audience.
“Bringing the news service in-house will also allow us to produce a multi-format audio visual news broadcast to cater to the Big Sports Breakfast television broadcast on Sky Racing,” he said.
