Gold Coast’s Hit90.9 has announced Ali Longhurst as their new content director who takes over from Corey Kay who is moving to Gold 92.5 as their new Content Director.

Longhurst isn't new to Hit90.9 being part of their 90.9Sea FM breakfast teams from 2015 to 2017 and now comes from her most recent gig as Senior Producer of Melbourne’s Fox FM with Fifi, Fev and Bryon.

On the appointment, Longhurst said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be a part the GC’s Hit90.9 team. I consider it an honour to be working alongside such talented people who share my passion for both radio and the Gold Coast.”

“The GC is home for me - I love the people, the culture, the weather, my house in Carrara and I am ecstatic to be heading back and doing what we do best. I know this team will achieve amazing things and I can’t wait to get up there and start!”

Head of the Hit Network Gemma Fordham said: “Ali will bring her breakfast show experience to our newly announced Hit90.9 Brekkie Crew with Lise, Sarah, Ben and Dan. Ali brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, a huge amount of enthusiasm and a deep love for the Goldie.”

Ali’s appointment comes after it was announced that 90.9 Sea FM will rename to Hit90.9 as of Monday, 29 July. Longhurst will commence her position at Hit90.9 on Monday, 12 August.
