Perth Radio Ratings 2021, Survey 3: Nova continues to dominate

• Nova was especially strong in the breakfast and drive dayparts

Perth Radio Ratings 2021: GfK Survey 3, Sunday February 28 to Saturday April 3 & Sunday April 18 to Saturday May 22

Nova 93.7 13.5% (13.3%)

Nova is again #1 and is up slightly increasing its share to 13.5%. Nova’s breakfast show continues to provide a strong foundation to the station with NathanNat and Shaun again #1 with an even 15% share.

Nova also continued to dominate drive with a 17.1% share as KateTim and Joel added 1.9 points in survey 3.

Nova was also the top commercial station for evenings and weekends and was #1 in the 10-17, 18-24, and 25-34 demographics.

The Hit Network station has finally broken its streak after having a share of 12.6% in each survey so far this year, after losing 0.7 points, for a share of 11.9%.

The breakfast lineup of Pete, Matt & Kymba is still the #2 breakfast radio show, with its share remaining steady.

The national drive show was also #2 with Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little not having much movement with a share of 12.7%.

The station was #1 in the afternoon daypart and #1 for the 40-52 demographic.

96FM has continued to slowly bounce back after posting its lowest 10+ and breakfast shares in over five years in the first survey of the year.

The fresh breakfast lineup of The Bunch with Dean Clairs and Lisa Shaw continue to settle into the market following the retirement of Fred Botica earlier this year, the pair had a share of 10% which was good for #4 in Perth.

The station was also #1 in 55-64 and was up by 1.1 points.

6PR 9.5% (9.3%)

6PR has had a solid survey with its share remaining steady for the station as a whole and in the breakfast daypart as well. Gareth Parker currently has the #3 breakfast show in Perth with a share of 11.3%.

The station has remained the #1 commercial station for 65+ despite losing 2.5 points.

In the third survey since Hit 92.9 flipped to Triple M, the station is down 0.3 points and it hasn't experienced much movement yet in its first year, with its share ranging from 7.9% to 8.2% so far over three surveys.  Compared to its predecessor Hit92.9 this would be the lowest share in over 5 years.

The new breakfast team led by Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas is currently the #5 ranked breakfast show in the market with its share remaining steady.

The stations strongest demographic is 25-39 where it has a share of 12.9%.

The station is down just 0.2 points with its best daypart being on weekends where it has a share of 5.3%.
