With the start of the new year, we take a look back at the top 25 media personalities who stood out in the Australian media landscape in 2015.

RUSSELL TATE
CEO, Macquarie Media

Russell TateIt’s been a year of achievement for Tate and his management team. The long-awaited merger of 2UE and 2GB has finally happened with some significant cost savings (including significant staff cuts) with a relaunch of 2UE planned for 2016. Tate also changed the name of the company before his departure in 2016 with Adam Lang in the wings ready to take on the top job. Networking is rampant with Alan Jones and Ray Hadley heard in Sydney and Brisbane, Ross Greenwood heard in three states, Steve Price broadcasting on 40 stations and the programs from Magic 1278 Melbourne taking over most of the day on Magic 882 in Brisbane.
