Last Dance: ESPN to air exclusive cinematic production of 1998 NBA Finals

ESPN will exclusively televise a cinematic production of one of the most iconic games in NBA history the 1998 NBA Finals, Game 6: Bulls v Jazz. This will be the first time that the game is seen in high-definition.

This coincides with the final two episodes of The Last Dance being released this week by ESPN, which chronicled the 1997-1998 season of the Chicago Bull's which was the final year to feature Michael Jordan. The docu-series is currently #1 on Netflix.

The special game telecast will air this Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. AEST on ESPN. It will then reair at 8.30pm AEST that evening.

ESPN’s 1998 NBA Finals, Game 6: Bulls vs Jazz telecast will feature exclusive, never-before-seen game footage captured by five different NBA Entertainment cameras, presenting new and innovative views of the game.

It will feature the original commentary provided for the live game telecast by Bob Costas, Isiah Thomas, Doug Collins, Ahmad Rashad and Jim Gray

The game is best remembered for Michael Jordan’s game-winning shot to secure the Chicago Bulls’ sixth NBA Championship in eight years with a victory over the Utah Jazz.

1998 NBA Finals, Game 6: Bulls v Jazz will air at 11 a.m. AEST on May 21, exclusive to ESPN. ESPN and ESPN2 can be seen on Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Fetch TV and Sky NZ.
