In the leadup to Eurovision 2023, Spotify data from the past month (25 March to 25 April) has revealed that Australian entry Voyager has been gathering the most streams in Europe from Germany, followed by the Netherlands, the UK, and Spain.

Looking at the streams from all competing countries, Spotify’s data also suggests a second win by Sweden’s Loreen, following her victory in 2012. Italy’s Marco Mengoni and Norway’s Alessandra look to be Loreen’s toughest competitors on the night as the nations battle for the Eurovision crown – coming in second and third respectively for most streamed songs.

Loreen (Sweden) looks to be Australia’s favourite, as the most streamed contestant by Australians overall, mostly consistent across the streaming habits across different generations:

• 0-17 -  Alessandra, Queen of Kings
• 18-24 -  Loreen, Tattoo
• 25-29 - Loreen, Tattoo
• 35-54 - Loreen, Tattoo

Of the winners from the past 10 years who have gained traction on Spotify, Conchita Wurst has been streamed the most in the last 12 months.

Most streamed 2023 Eurovision contestants in Australia:

1. Sweden: Loreen - Tattoo
2. Norway: Alessandra - Queen of Kings
3. UK: Mae Muller - I Wrote A Song
4. Finland: Käärijä - Cha Cha Cha
5. Cyprus: Andrew Lambrou - Break a Broken Heart
6. Austria: SALENA, TEYA - Who the Hell is Edgar?
7. Netherlands: Dion Cooper, Mia Nicollai - Burning Daylight
8. Italy: Marco Mengoni - Due Vite
9. Australia: Voyager - Promise
10. France: La Zarra - Évidemment
