Following the world debut screening of the first two episodes of Cleverman in Berlin today, ABC TV has released footage of the show.

Cleverman, produced by Goalpost Pictures with New Zealand's Pukeko Pictures, will screen on the ABC later this year as well as on AMC Networks' Sundance TV channel in the US. Today it screened as part of the 2016 Berlin International Film Festivale, better known as Berlinale. Also screening at Berlinale today was the first episode of the second season of AMC's Better Call Saul.

The series is set in the near future, where a species from ancient indigenous mythology must live amongst humans and battle for survival in a world that wants to silence, exploit and destroy them. At the heart of the story are two estranged brothers, Koen (Hunter Page-Lochard) and Waruu West (Rob Collins), who are forced together to fight against terrifying enemies, both human and not of this world. But can Koen, a man bestowed with a powerful gift and destined to become the Cleverman, learn to harness his power before everything around him crumbles?
