Seven’s AFL Grand Final telecast smashes Nielsen social media chart

By contrast it seems hardly worth counting the non-sport traffic this week!

The AFL Grand Final telecast on Seven last Saturday was not only the biggest TV football on the weekend, it registered the highest number of social media interactions – 2.7m, just on 700,000 more than the NRL Grand Final telecast by Nine on Sunday.

The Brownlow Medal, #3 on the chart and also telecast by Seven, was almost 2.5m behind the social traffic generated by the Grand Final.

By contrast it seems hardly worth counting the non-sport traffic this week! Just two programs made it over 30,000 – both episodes of The Bachelorette – while there was nothing else over 10,000 interactions.
