Seven have given a sneak peek at Million Dollar Island, the new social experiment where the rules of society don’t exist, coming soon to Channel Seven and 7Plus.

One hundred everyday Aussies land on a remote desert island, each wearing a bracelet worth $10,000. They gain or lose bracelets by competing in games, forming alliances, scheming or stealing – all while trying to survive the harsh conditions with limited means.

To win their fortune, contestants must get it from someone else – and be willing to do whatever it takes. Stealing, deception and disorder quickly become the rules of engagement.

Nurses, farmers, real estate agents, parents, retail workers and more will leave the world behind as they scheme and fight for the $1 million prize.

Million Dollar Island is hosted by Ant Middleton and produced by award-winning Eureka Productions, who produced popular shows such as Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife

Last month, Seven also announced it had commissioned Stranded on Honeymoon Island, the new dating social experiment from the creators of the relationship show, Married at First Sight

Premiering on Channel 7 and 7plus in 2024, Stranded on Honeymoon Island sees couples matched by experts following a dating event, before being stranded on a deserted island in nothing but their wedding attire. They will be isolated and pitted against the forces of nature, testing their strength as a couple.

Seven’s chief content officer, entertainment programming, Angus Ross, said: “There is good reason broadcasters around the world have fallen in love with Stranded on Honeymoon Island and Seven is thrilled to bring this hot new series to Australian audiences.

“Snowman Productions and Endemol Shine Australia’s track record of success speaks for itself, and now they’re taking the reality dating genre to a whole new addictive level, blending fledgling love with the adventure of a lifetime. We have no doubt viewers will lap up every minute of this bold and exciting new format.”
