Total TV Ratings, January 19

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! was once again the top non-news program in the total TV ratings with 934,000 viewers, this was thanks to a 20% increase in the show's overnight ratings.

The third day of the Australian Open had a high of 694,000 which came in the night session (694,000) which featured Madison Brengle (USA) v Naomi Osaka (JPN) and Alexander Zverev (GER) v John Millman (AUS).

On Seven, the Big Bash League had 315,000 viewers as the Sydney Thunder took on the Melbourne Renegades.

• ABC roles out the red carpet for Australia Day Live
• Controversy in the BBL as Sixers keep dream alive

Nine has continued its winning streak that dates back to the start of the Australian Open after the broadcaster managed to once again have the top primary channel (30.6%) and network (390.0%). 

Despite a lack of local talent, the Australian Open was still the main attraction on Australia Day with another day of solid ratings

The day featured Daniil Medvedev winning an epic five-set quarter-final over Felix Auger-Aliassime, as well as Stefanos Tsitsipas cruising to an easy win. The pair will now face off in the semi-finals.

Australian Open TV Ratings Day 7:
Day Session: 617,000 (441,000 metro & 176,000 regional)
Night Session: 903,000 (652,000 & 251,000 regional)
Night Session 2: 968,000 (726,000 metro & 242,000 regional)

On Seven, the Sydney Sixers kept their hopes of a threepeat alive as they defeated the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League's challenger final. The match was decided in controversial circumstances as the sixers injury retired Jordan Silk to bring in a fresh runner as 366,000 fans tuned in. 

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! was once again the top entertainment program as the show continues to send celebrities home at a fast rate. The episode averaged 502,000 viewers while 466,000 tuned in to see Cal Wilson sent home from the Jungle.

On the ABC, Australia Day Live 2022 had 269,000 viewers and featured a concert and fireworks display in Sydney that featured Delta Goodrem, Casey Donovan, Shane Howard, Andrew Farriss, Jon Stevens, Isaiah Firebrace, William Barton, Amber Lawrence, Kirsty Lee Akers, and Emma Donovan.

On SBS, the top program was a repeat of Great Australian Railway Journeys with 199,000 viewers.
