Total TV Ratings, February 25

Van Der Valk continues to perform well in the total TV ratings for the ABC, after once again finishing as the top entertainment program of the evening with 812,000 viewers, up 31%.

Gardening Australia also performed well for the ABC with 765,000 tuning in, an increase of 16% on its overnight TV ratings.

Seven's Better Homes and Gardens was the top commercial entertainment program with 750,000 viewers, Followed by Nine's David Attenborough's Green Planet which had 539,000.

Seven was able to prevent Nine from having a clean sweep of the week after the broadcaster was able to win a hotly contested primary channel share last night with 19.1%, however, Nine kept its network share winning streak alive with a 28.4% share.

Seven once again rolled out its successful lineup of its prime time news bulletin (903,000/820,000), The Chase Australia (476,000), and Better Homes and Gardens (427,000).

Nine put out A Current Affair (561,000), David Attenborough's Green Planet (314,000), and the film Jason Bourne.

On 10, for the third time this week, the broadcaster aired Would I Lie to You Australia, this was the second encore of Monday night's episode following the 9:30pm encore on Thursday night. The Graham Norton show then followed, the episode featured Benedict Cumberbatch, Ru Paul, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Diane Morgan.

The ABC once again aired the combination of total TV darlings Van Der Valk (385,000) and Gardening Australia (421,000).

STV

The first day of the first match of the Test series between Australia and Pakistan dominated the STV ratings for Foxtel with an average of 112,000 tuning in.

The AFL pre-season had 109,000 viewers as the Western Bulldogs took on the Brisbane Lions.

The Supercars season kicked off on Fix Sports 506 as the practice session for the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight had 39,000 viewers. 

The ICC Women's World Cup had 39,000 viewers for the match between New Zealand and the West Indies.

The top entertainment program was the Great Australian Bake Off with 37,000 viewers.
