Tributes flow for industry leader Kathleen Beddoes after she passes away

• Beddoes was the head of NGEN for the MFA from 2016 to 2019

Industry leader Kathleen Beddoes has sadly passed away following her battle with cancer. 

Beddoes was a former marketing executive at Randstad Australia and at Adshel, her last role was as marketing specialist at Fulcrum.

Notably, she served as the head of NGEN for the Media Federation of Australia (MFA) from 2016 to 2019.

The news was shared on LinkedIn in posts by her industry friends Tahni Brooks and Jane King, who each paid heartfelt tributes to their friend.

Brooks said: "Kathleen Beddoes touched the lives of so many people in within the media & advertising industry, especially during her time as head of NGEN an MFA Initiative.

"Those of us lucky to have been in her presence, were witness to what an incredible light she was on this earth. Sadly KB lost her battle with cancer on Sunday morning but our girl loved any a celebration, so celebrate her we will!"

King wrote: "For many of us working in the Advertising, Marketing and Media industry would have had the absolute pleasure of working with or knowing Kathleen Beddoes. Sadly Kathleen lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Sunday. She loved our industry and loved a celebration."

Nicole McInnes, WeightWatchers managing director, commented: "Beautiful Kathleen, I’ll always remember her calm and her warmth, she seemed to understand everyone around her and was a comfort to them in her care.

"She was wise beyond her years and she has left us, who were lucky enough to know her, feeling like life now is that little less bright. Gone too soon xxxxx."

Kim Norman, SCA head of commercial - podcast and partnerships, added: "Heartbreaking news, Kathleen was a rare gem, her vibrant nature was welcomed always. She leaves a beautiful legacy and truly made a positive impact on those she connected with. Fly high KB, you will be surely missed by so many."
