Jerker Fagerström has launched his new business venture, Fagerström Inc. after announcing his departure from Thinkerbell.

Fagerström took to LinkedIn on Wednesday to share news of his departure from the Melbourne-based independent advertising agency, where he was appointed to the newly created position of managing partner eight months ago.

In the post, he revealed that the role "simply did not work out".

Fagerström wrote: "All good things must come to an end. Well, this one barely got started. Unfortunately, I no longer work at Thinkerbell.

"It was a new role to the agency, and it simply did not work out. Thankful I got to know some awesome people, amazing clients and great partners. Onwards and upwards."

Since making the announcement, Fagerström has updated his profile to include the establishment of Fagerström Inc. He told Mediaweek he will lead the consulting firm as its co-founder and chief creative officer.

Fagerström's career has seen him lead agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB Stockholm, AKQA, McCann Worldgroup Sydney, and Publicis Groupe.
