Samsung Ads Behind The Screens: Samsung's Ed Love on the move from linear into the streaming environment

Advertising Week APAC saw flocks of media, agency and adverting industry folk make the trip to Sydney’s Luna Park earlier this month. Mediaweek was on the ground, covering the event alongside Samsung Ads, and speaking to some of the event’s major players.

Mediaweek chatted with Ed Love, head of business development & content acquisitions at Samsung TV Plus, and asked him about his thoughts on Advertising Week and what brings him to the event.

When asked if there was a moment in his career that stood out to him the most, Love said that before starting at Samsung, he had never heard of Fast TV before.

"I've come from a traditional media background in distribution and before I joined Samsung last year, to be honest, I had never heard of Fast TV before," he said. 

"Now, I work in a Fast TV platform and that was the moment for me where I realised that it had been around for a while and I also discovered all these new technologies coming through."
