Nicole Trunfio on the cover of Elle

Supermodel Nicole Trunfio and her baby boy Zion cover the June issue of Elle in a celebration of motherhood. In what might be an Australian mags first, editor-in-chief Justine Cullen decided to release a special cover for subscribers featuring Trunfio breastfeeding.

“This wasn’t a contrived situation: Zion needed a feed, Nicole gave it to him, and when we saw how beautiful they looked we simply moved her onto the set,” Cullen said. “It was a completely natural moment that resulted in a powerful picture.”

Other natural moments that took place on set were Zion answering nature’s call on the selection of international and local designer clothing worn by his mother in the shoot.

In the accompany article Zion is Trunfio’s first child with her fiancée, Grammy winner Gary Clark Jr.
