Kym Middleton has concluded her time as General Manager of Women In Media Australia, ending a two-year stint with the national not-for-profit.

In a LinkedIn post, Middleton said she had “decided to conclude my time with this wonderful organisation,” describing the role as “a privilege” during a period of growth and delivery.

What did Middleton oversee at Women In Media?

Middleton pointed to several major initiatives during her tenure, including the National Conference, leadership programs, and the introduction of the Women In Media Oration.

In her post, she also thanked supporters across Australia and the Pacific, including committee members, volunteers, pro bono contributors, partners, donors, sponsors, speakers and the board.

What happens next?

Middleton said she is taking “a short break” before being open to conversations about her next role, citing experience across media leadership, partnerships, journalism, public programming, marketing and communications, cultural organisations and large-scale events.

Acknowledging the team

Middleton gave a specific shout-out to the “tiny yet mighty team of two” behind the scenes: Philippa Campey, National Administrative Coordinator, and Isabelle Lineham, Marketing & Digital Coordinator.
