MediaWorks has confirmed the appointment of Michael Anderson as CEO.
Anderson will join MediaWorks on the 29 August from Australia where he is currently chairman of OzTAM and oOh!media and a non-executive director of Fairfax Media.
Anderson previously spent seven years as CEO of Australia's largest commercial radio groups Austereo (now Southern Cross Austereo) and before was its group director, sales. Anderson will also be appointed to the MediaWorks board.
David Chalmers, who has been acting CEO since May, will be leaving the business later in the year to take on the role of CFO of Spark NZ.
