Mediaweek’s Next of the Best Awards 2025 took centre stage at W Sydney, spotlighting the rising stars and game-changers across Australia’s media, marketing, tech and creative industries.

With entries from across the country, the awards recognise emerging talent and future leaders shaping the next era of the industry, and this year’s winners did not disappoint.

Hosted by Jimmy, Nath and Emma from 2DAY FM’s The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma, and sponsored by News Australia, LISTNR, and Rolling Stone AU/NZ, it was an unforgettable night, featuring a set from Australian hip-hop artist Dayshawn.

There were 12 winners, selected by a judging panel of senior industry leaders and past award recipients, following a competitive round of entries and a shortlist.

The awards, now in their third year, are part of Mediaweek’s commitment to celebrating the next generation of the media, with many past winners going on to senior leadership roles or founding their own ventures.

“This year’s cohort is an incredible reflection of where the industry is heading,” said Mediaweek's Head of Content, Frances Sheen. “These winners are not just the next generation, they’re already making an awe-inspiring impact today.”
